Possess leadership skills including vision, strategic thinking and expertise in a field;
Are interested in broadening personal involvement in the community;
Are ready to serve on a nonprofit board; and,
Are willing and able to dedicate at least two years to nonprofit board service.

What is the Leadership Connection Training Curriculum for new board trainees?

How does a nonprofit engage with the Leadership Connection to be matched to a new board member?

This service is free to nonprofit organizations (and is currently provided only to Jericho Road Lowell and Lawrence nonprofit organizations.)
The Chairperson of the nonprofit board will complete a Leadership Connection Nonprofit Application Form, which includes a Nonprofit Board Skills Gap Analysis.
Corporate trainees will be personally interviewed by Jericho Road Project staff to ensure a good match with a nonprofit.
One current nonprofit board member is asked to participate in the training (see class times below), allowing them to personally meet with prospective board members.
Jericho Road staff will facilitate a personal, no-obligation match-making process between the corporate trainee and the nonprofit*.

The Training and Placement Service will be offered at least twice a year; nonprofits may choose to participate in any training, space permitting.
