Dan Holin, Executive Director

Dan was hired in January 2003 and has served as a catalyst for the success of the Jericho Road Project to date. As Executive Director he works directly with the JRP Board and staff to manage and network existing sites and identify and launch new Jericho sites.
Dan came to JRP with 13 years of experience working as a coalition builder and project developer with communities, funders, government agencies and organizations both in the U.S. and overseas.
In 2001 he served as the Project Start Director for the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and prior to that worked as the Director of the Department of International Cultural Affairs in Israel's Ministry of Culture, Science and Sport.

Leslie Koplow, Operations Manager

Leslie joined Jericho Road in July 2005. She worked for 14 years in various IT roles as a Unix systems administrator, systems integration consultant, program manager and Director of Information Systems. In addition to her IT expertise, Leslie has a significant financial background in budgeting and asset management. Leslie has successfully balanced the JRP budget during each year of her tenure, during which time the budget has quadrupled in size.

Prior to Jericho Road, Leslie worked at Harbinger Partners (now Common Impact), a nonprofit specializing in strategic technology planning and volunteer matching for Boston area nonprofits, and was a Jericho Road volunteer before joining the staff. Leslie holds a B.A. degree from Vassar College and an M.A. degree from SUNY-Binghamton.

Kate Atkinson Kaplan, Director of Marketing and Development

Kate joined Jericho Road in February 2009. She has over twenty years experience in nonprofit management, resource development and strategic positioning. As Director of Fundraising for Fortunato Consulting Group, Kate oversaw a portfolio of fundraising campaigns with goals ranging from $3 million to $16 million. In addition to fundraising, Ms. Kaplan's consulting over the last ten years has included board development, program development, and strategic planning. Prior to consulting, Kate worked at Tufts University for a dozen years designing, managing, and securing resources for community outreach programs in the School of Arts and Sciences.

Kate's civic engagement includes her participation with the Tufts University Alumni Council Executive Committee, the Concord Scout House, Inc. and the Volunteer Allocations Committee for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. Ms. Kaplan holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Tufts University. She lives in Concord, MA with her husband, two daughters, and energetic dog.

Nancy Coan, JR Lowell Program Director

Nancy Coan has worked in non-profit management for over 15 years. Her non-profit experience spans a number of different sectors, including international civil society development, women's empowerment, youth development, advocacy, and humanitarian assistance. Nancy believes strongly in the power and potential of non-profits to make a positive difference in the lives of the people and communities they serve and is committed to helping strengthen non-profit effectiveness and sustainability. Nancy first came to JR as a volunteer in 2007, working with Dan on new program development and assisting Lowell NPOs with grant-writing and organizational assessments. Nancy lives in Arlington with her husband Roman and son Lukas.

Ellen Chulak, JR Lynn Program Director

Ellen joined Jericho Road in February of 2009. Her work in the nonprofit, workforce development and denominational arenas span 25 years. She has held the position of executive director, director, director of development and public relations, administrator and management consultant in the museum, independent school, career center, congregational health and retreat and retreat and conference centers worlds, among others. She has focused, and will continue to focus, her wide breadth of experience on meeting organizations where they are and helping them to increase the impact they desire to make in the world.

Melanie Goodyear, JR Pasadena Program Director

Melanie comes to Jericho Road Pasadena as a nonprofit professional with 15 years of program experience. Melanie has dedicated her career to helping the needy, leading her to diverse experiences, such as working at an orphanage in Mexico, and doing community organizing in a poor immigrant neighborhood in San Diego. For the past six years, she has managed volunteers within public libraries. She has consulted extensively with nonprofits, helping to build their capacities. She has a B.A. degree from Wellesley College and an M.A. degree from Claremont School of Theology. Melanie lives in Pasadena, CA.

Deb Wild, JR Worcester Program Director

Deborah Wild has over 25 years of experience designing and directing programs in the nonprofit, education, international, and corporate sectors. Her clients have included InnerCity Entrepreneurs, Fidelity Investments, Peace Corps/Armenia, the Armenian Assembly of America, Massachusetts Climate Action Network, Oxfam America, the Northwest Area Foundation, Digitas, Monster.com, and Hewlett Packard. She specializes in the design and implementation of collaborative learning experiences and facilitating accelerated planning processes with diverse stakeholders. Deborah has a M.Ed. in Instructional Design from UMass Boston and a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University. She lives in Waltham, MA with her husband Garen and son Tigran. Her voluntary commitments include chairing the Social Action Committee at First Parish of Waltham, a Unitarian Universalist congregation. Deb is also a Jericho Road volunteer, helping to develop a business development training program for Lowell artists.
